The United States Department of State and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention both advise not traveling to the Philippines.

The US State Department warning regarding travel to the Sulu Archipelago and other areas of Mindanao has been in effect for years. The updated warning regards the tremendous surge in daily COVID-19 cases in the Philippines, especially the Metro Manila area.

However, most foreigners are restricted from even entering the Philippines at least until the end of April 2021 due to an ongoing travel ban issued by the Philippine government.
