The Philippine Department of Transportation (DOTr) has mandated the “No Face Shield, No Ride” policy. The new policy is effective Aug. 15 for those passengers using any mode of public transportation such as jeepneys.  Passengers must wear face shields. The new mandate, issued by DOTr in Memorandum Circular No. 2020-014, is an effort to battle the coronavirus pandemic. Public transportation is only allowed in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified GCQ.
