Foreigner Dies after Jumping off NAIA 4TH Floor

A Chinese-American national died after jumping off the fourth level of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. The tragic event occurred on Thursday night, January 31. Authorities confirmed the incident on Friday according to the Philippine News Agency.

The deceased, 69-year-old Shau Chang Yee had only arrived in the Philippines from Hong Kong on Monday, January 28.

Early reports showed the foreigner was seen climbing over a 4-foot barrier on the fourth floor of the building and then landed on the third floor.

Shau was given first aid and rushed to the Makati Medical Center, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA),

Shau died of a basal skull fracture because of severe head trauma.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
