JalAmiel, Our Miss 2018 United Nations Niece

JalAmiel at The Shirven in Guimaras

Our niece, JalAmiel, has been picked as “Miss 2018 United Nations” to represent her class for a fundraiser.  JalAmiel is leading her schoolmates in an effort  to raise funds for some much-needed school improvements. I’m hopeful my faithful readers over the years can help out.

The Official Fund Raising Envelope

JalAmiel, Our Miss 2018 United Nations Niece

The official fund raising project envelope can be seen above. JalAmiel, along with Mr. United Nations, Kidd Gilsen, will be competing with other Mr. and Miss United Nations candidates at their elementary school in Guimaras. As a result, the class that brings in the most money for their fundraiser will crown the winning Mr. and Miss UN for the entire school.

JalAmiel’s School Needs Your Help

The purpose of the fund raiser is for the repair and improvement of the covered foot walk and hand washing facilities. We’ve personally kicked in 5,000 pesos for the fundraiser, 100 US Dollars. We believe in helping our local school programs any way we can.

Your Donation Can Help

That said, any additional donations from my faithful readers would help JalAmiel’s school in their current fund raising project. Along with the covered foot walk and hand washing facilities, I would love to see all the children’s classrooms have an electric fan.

A good quality fan can be purchased for around 1,500 pesos, 30 US dollars. It’s been hot with temperatures in the low 90’s.

The school fundraiser will end in a few days. Any donation amount would be greatly and sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance from The Crusty Old Expat.
