Exciting Expat Eatery Opens in Guimaras

I highly recommend all  my foreigner friends to check out this latest restaurant, Cassandra’s, located in our island province. This “Exciting Expat Eatery Opens in Guimaras” and offers a wide selection of Western favorites at very reasonable prices.

Maybe you don’t live in Guimaras, the island province we call home. No problem. Even if you’re an expat in nearby Iloilo City, crossing over the Iloilo Strait only costs you 15 pesos, about 26¢. A jeepney ride to San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras near the New Site Market only costs 14 pesos.

Cassandra’s is now open to serve all foreigners (and Filipinos, of course) in the area. Cassandra’s is located near the above-mentioned New Site Market just a few doors down from the best dentist in Guimaras, Dr. Gonzaga. Here’s a couple of maps to guide you:

Hey, even if you’re an anti-social guy like me, you’ll love Cassandra’s. Why? Because they serve good eats at low prices along with excellent customer service.

And anybody that knows me, knows The Crusty Old Expat loves a bargain, especially when it comes to food.

Grace, seen above, is Cassandra’s helpful server. Don’t worry, she understands English and won’t get a nosebleed when speaking with you.

Mouthwatering New Zealand 1/4 Pounder Broiled Burger

Above all, however, I’m not sacrificing quality when I chow down at Owners Alan and Lori’s establishment. I devoured a delicious New Zealand Quarter Pounder Beef Burger with French fries for only 180 pesos, approximately 3.33 US dollars.

The tasty flame-broiled Cassandra burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Take one look at my ample gut, and you can tell I’ve tasted plenty of burgers in my lifetime.

American Breakfast with Jimmy Dean-style Sausages

While waiting for my burger, another expat living in nearby Iloilo dropped in. Here’s a look at the American Breakfast this expatriate ordered.

American Breakfast with Jimmy Dean-style Sausages

The American Breakfast comes with two eggs, any style, two breakfast sausages (Jimmy Dean-style) or two slices of bacon spam. The breakfast is topped off with two slices of buttered toast and hash browns.

All for only 210 pesos, about 3.88 US dollars. Now that’s what I call a breakfast!

Pizzas, pasta, and chicken are just a few of the other delicious dishes available at Cassandra’s Cuisine.

So come on over to Cassandra’s Cuisine today!

Frankly, you’re really robbing owners “American Alan” and his lovely Filipina wife, Lori, blind at these low prices. Nevertheless, if you want to enjoy some extremely delicious food at reasonable prices, make sure you bring your friends, foreigner or Filipino, and pay them a visit soon.

And for you expats out there, consider making Cassandra’s your personal expat hangout. Bring your wife out for “date night” on a Friday or Saturday. It’s a family place that doesn’t play any loud music inside. You can actually carry on a conversation and be heard.

What are you expats doing on Wednesday afternoons? Why not resurrect the Wednesday afternoon meetings that used to be held every Wednesday at 3:00 pm. “American Alan” is considering a “Happy Hour” and free nachos for the expat group on Wednesdays.

And, if you’re so inclined, tell him that The Crusty Old Expat from Philippines Plus sent you. See you there!

(The Crusty Old expat does not receive any payola for this post. My recommendations are all unsolicited.)

We regret to inform you that Cassandra’s has now closed their doors for business.
