Rocking with the Twilight Band from Iloilo!

The Manggahan Festival in Guimaras was rocking as the Twilight Band from Iloilo was jamming and rocking the grounds of the Provincial Capitol unlike any group that I heard at the during the festivities held last week.  Crowds of people were dancing in front of the San Miguel Stage and evidently were having a good time. My asawa and I joined the celebration, though I must confess to having downed four Red Horse beers by that time. The Sainted Patient Wife had already reached her limit of two San Miguel Lights. DSCThe Twilight Band played some great cover songs, and thankfully, did NOT sing "Baby, Baby, Baby!" by the obnoxious Justin Bieber. Next time I hear any band cover that song again, I'm pretty sure I will puke.

DSC They were my favorite band out of all the groups we heard at the recent Manggahan Festival in Guimaras. While I certainly enjoyed watching listening to the live band with more hot Filipina band members that played on the second  night of the festivities, The Twilight Band really was really the most successful in getting the crowd pumped up and dancing. It was a Friday night in Guimaras, and most of the crowd was jamming as the following photos will reveal. But first let's take a look at the official profile information graciously provided to me by the band along with their official profile pic:

The time when the full strength or power of Something is decreasing. A group of four young members combined to give a packaged of entertainment through their music and movements. The Members Front Liners : Mary Grace “cheche” Penaverde Stella Marie “lala” Lazo Rhegie “red” Galfo Keyboard/sequence : Romel “omeng” Lazo Twilight band started last July of 2008.They played their music and were  heard in different bars of Metro Iloilo and some parts of provinces of Panay. The group is composed of four members, the pop diva (cheche), the rock princess (lala), the ballader (red),and the alternative prince (omeng). They are versatile and have their own uniqueness in terms of entertaining guest through the best of their own crafts. Featuring different genres of music such as Pop, R&B, Alternatives, Rock, and Classic songs from the 60’s up to the latest of 2011. Experience the once in a life time party, relax to the cool sweet voices and groove to the hot music of the Twilight Band.

Here's the Twilight Band's official profile photo. A good looking group, right?

DSCThe two photos above feature some of the beautiful Filipina vocalists in the Twilight Band as they performed at the Manggahan Festival in Guimaras. Rock princess Lala is featured in the first photo, and the picture above is the Pop Diva herself, Cheche.

DSCAnother shot of the Twilight Band on the San Miguel Stage stage.

DSCHere's a couple of the ladies in the crowd that posed for me. I asked if I could take their photo, and they willingly obliged. Again, I must ask. If you're a single guy and have never visited the Philippines, what in the world are you waiting for?

DSCTwo more great reasons to visit the Philippines.

DSCHere's another shot of the crowd enjoying listening to the Twilight Band.

DSCOne more photo. As you can see by the  pictures above, the Twilight Band from Iloilo was really good at motivating the crowd to dance and party.  My asawa, who was dancing, along with me at times, thoroughly enjoyed listening to this group. Hopefully, they will return to the Manggahan Festival, but they also have some venues in nearby Iloilo that they play. If you're in the area or planning a visit to Iloilo, check out their Facebook page. I'm sure you will enjoy their music just as much as those that attended the festival did. The Twilight Band! Rocking in Guimaras and rocking the Philippines!
