The Mystery Water Supply Discovered in Savannah, Iloilo

I was on a quest. I wanted to find out why  "The Orchard," an enclave of the Savannah subdivision in Iloilo where we lived,  had water twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We only had water running for seven to eight hours on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Where was the tubig (water) source for "The Orchard?"DSC

Are Filipinas the Most Beautiful Women in the World?

my lovely asawa taking a break at casa rosa resort taytay palawan

Recent posts on younger Filipinas with older guys and how to meet your special someone on Cherry Blossoms has prompted me to write today’s article. Don’t know why I’ve never devoted a whole piece to this topic before, but a recent FHM Philippines video, posted at the end of this article, inspired me.

My Asawa Hires Help for Laundry Day: She’s A Stunner!

Cute Filipina e

Her name is “Shine.” She’s our new laundry lady. I didn’t hire her. My asawa did. She came recommended by my spouse’s manicurist. Although, readers like Lance the Canadian and Gary Wigle have suggested that we employ cute young Filipinas, advice from such sages as Tom Ramberg and Scott,  who suggested that the hiring of “homely”  employees would be more beneficial to my future well being, would probably be heeded. Well, all I can tell say is that our new helper on laundry day is a “stunner.” She’s hot!

Living in the Philippines with my Asawa. It’s Laundry Day.

I've got it made. I don't even have to put clothes in the wash machine anymore. Why? We don't have that appliance since we started living in the Philippines over two years ago. On our laundry day, in our subdivision outside of Iloilo City, my asawa hand washes all of our clothes. I want to hire someone to do that chore for her. My spouse doesn't. Maybe she's been sneaking a peek at recent comments regarding what type of employee we could hire. But I have to tell you, she gets extremely grumpy when she is doing this particular job, and it would benefit me greatly, also, if we would hire someone to take over that task.DSC

For My Filipino Readers New Canadian Law Will Aid Filipino Caregivers Working in Canada

[smartads] Domestic caregivers recruited from abroad could find it easier to obtain permanent resident status in Canada under new federal rules being announced Saturday. The live-in caregivers, who must pass a medical test to be admitted to Canada in the first place, also will no longer have to undergo a second medical examination when applying … Read moreFor My Filipino Readers New Canadian Law Will Aid Filipino Caregivers Working in Canada

Luxury Guest House Opens in the Philippines!

[smartads]For those of you who have contacted me via magicJack phone calls, cell phone, landline, satellite phone, text, email, Twitter (which would be difficult since I don't have it), Facebook, and other forms of communication which included tying a note around the neck of the cow that travels down our cow poop-laden road (and this is the same cow that The Sainted Patient Wife collects her manure droppings from to fertilize her garden) to inquire how I am doing after the severe beating I received from SPW and The Feared Giant Lizard Killer the other day (please see yesterday's blog, it is too emotionally draining on me to dwell on it too much), I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you.

The Philippines Marvels at Hot New Opening! Celebrity Commentators Honored!

[smartads]The good life in the Philippines. Is that what you are looking for? Wonder how we can live on five hundred dollars a month?  We just cut some corners. You probably think you are looking at a photo of our new Comfort Room/Bathroom that I have been incessantly chatting about in this blog since the inception of "The Rooster Crows at 4am!" You have heard me ramble on and on about the construction that has been going here, and probably wonder why I have not posted a photo of it yet. Awww, but I did not want the Rooster Readers to think I was bragging too much by publishing pictures of our lavish, opulent  Room of Comfort. Though I may from time to time remark on my (imagined) status of  king here, and kings are want to boast from time to time knowing that his court will hang on his every word, I have humbly refrained from doing that until now. But now the time has come for the great unveiling. Yes, I release to the world the first published photo of our new bathroom.

Scandal on the edge of a Jungle in the Philippines! The Rooster Crows at 4am Exclusive!

[smartads]Going old school on you today. I'm scratching out a rough draft of today's Rooster with pen and paper since we have had our second brownout of the day, and it's only 1:45 pm. That's what I get for bragging about the fact that we have not had any brownouts for the past week. The featured photo of the day is another view of our neighbor's place across the road from "The Compound" taken from our side yard.
