“Filipina Relative is a Scammer” is the topic for today’s post. One of my long-time supporters and personal friend recently asked my asawa and I for some assistance. Seems like my comrade’s older brother in the States was looking to communicate with a Filipina. My colleague was wondering if my spouse had any female relatives his brother could chat with.
Cebu City: The Queen City of the South. My lovely asawa and I recently returned from a short vacation to do some shopping and to relax in the famed “Second City” of the Philippines, the oldest city in the archipelago. While I haven’t done anything to earn a sabbatical, my spouse has. My wife has been dealing with the construction of our new home in the Philippines for almost six months now, and needed a break, even though she would never admit to that.
Pretty pinays roam Raymen Resort in Guimaras, the island province we call home. What more could a crusty old expat who has lived in the Philippines almost six years desire? A beautiful asawa, a sunny day on the beach, a cold bottle of San Miguel Pale Pilsen and not a care in the world. Sure, I got a sunburn as I walked along the white sandy shores but it was my desire, as CEO of Philippines Plus, to get as many photos of lovely ladies as possible. It’s a sacrifice I make for my faithful readers.
Decades ago I was in the United States Air Force military police. Maybe that’s why I always make it a point to be sociable to peace officers no matter where I’m at but especially in the Philippines. I’ve met quite a few friendly police men and security guards in nearby Iloilo on Panay Island and on our own island province. So I guess it shouldn’t come as a complete shock to my readers when I post a title such as the one above: “I Join the Guimaras SWAT Team at Manggahan.”
Regular readers of Philippines Plus know that I excel at doing as little as possible. I’ve perfected my slothfulness to a fine art after almost six years of living in the Philippines. But retirement in this archipelago comes with a price: notoriety. Thus, many of my stalwart subscribers, especially those that have visited or who reside in the PH, will not be surprised by the title of this post: “I’m Adored as a Rock Star by Pretty Pinays at Manggahan 2015.”
I didn’t want to spend a lot of money when I left the Philippines to visit my Dad back in the States. NAIA Terminal 3 on the cheap. That was my plan. And I executed it fairly well, I thought. No hotel bill. I spent the night at Terminal 3. No taxis. I used the free shuttle service to get from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, where my Korean Air flight would depart from. And I discovered a 7 Eleven store which had extremely reasonable prices for an airport venue.
My asawa and I recently visited Bacolod, the “City of Smiles” to celebrate my spouse’s upcoming birthday. During the course of our sojourn, I came to the conclusion that Bacolod offers more senior job opportunities vs. Iloilo, where we do the bulk of our shopping. In over five years of living in the Philippines I have never encountered anyone but young Pinays or Pinoys who held management positions in any of the major chains stores or franchise fast food outlets, such as McDonald’s, while in Iloilo City.
Sigh. Papa Duck and his Asawa Anne attended the Annual Mutya ng Guimaras, Pearl of Guimarasimage viewer for organizing and editing digital photos. Here’ s a picture of a poster from the actual swimsuit phase of the contest which I missed.
Here’s the conclusion to a trip home my wife and I recently made to Cebu City in which a cute Filipina slept on top of me! My wife and I had booked a Tourist Class section on a TransAsia Shipping Lines vessel from Cebu City to Iloilo City. We shared an air con dormitory with 158 passengers. I was hoping to upgrade to a cabin or suite once the ship left Cebu.
No, this is NOT the cute filipina
