I Feel Like Writing Some Crap (Or What Else Is New!)

I just feel like writing some crap today. How is that different from any other time? Well, it isn’t. Might as well just be upfront with you, faithful Rooster Readers. I used to call this “Rooster Ramblings”, but I’m sick of that term. Sheesh, have I been writing edgier or darker stuff or ranting more … Read moreI Feel Like Writing Some Crap (Or What Else Is New!)

The Surgeon, The Pump Boat, and the Stabbing Victim!

I’m sitting in the emergency room at the  hospital in San Miguel in Guimaras province racked with pain in my lower abdomen. The resident surgeon has just told me they are going to be transporting me via ambulance to the Jordan Wharf to board a specially reserved pump boat to the Great Saviour International Hospital in Iloilo City. I can’t get any medication until I give a urine sample. They finally give me a larger specimen cup, but I still can’t give them enough urine even though I just drank a liter of water.

Didn’t work. Pain got worse. Finally, around 8 pm, I couldn’t take it anymore. Got my sandals on, and said to SPW that we have to go to the emergency room, and we Pump Boat to Iloilohave to go NOW! I’ve only been to the emergency once in my life before when someone almost totaled a small Dodge with their full-sized pick up. I was shaken and bruised, but otherwise OK.
