Beach Front and Farmland Property for Sale in Iloilo

Some friends of mine in Iloilo City have two pieces of prime real estate  they are selling in the Philippines.   Alex and Daisy, pictured below, are two people I can vouch for unequivocally.  I met Alex (who I was mistakenly calling "Allan," sorry, Alex, last year and posted a story about our initial meeting. Ran into Alex again at SM City in Iloilo this past January, and his business ventures in the Philippines inspired me to write a post about surviving in the Philippines without a regular nine-to-five job.  My wife and I recently met Alex and his asawa, Daisy, at the McDonald's at SM City in Iloilo, and they graciously allowed their photo to be taken.

So I encourage you to check out this advertisement that Alex and Daisy have for their beach front and farmland property in Iloilo. The sales prices are extremely reasonable. 250 square meter lots in our subdivision in nearby Guimaras are currently going for P250,000, and that's not beach front property we have.  Another big plus that Alex and Daisy have are that the titles to the properties are free and clear, which is a HUGE plus in the Philippines, as some unscrupulous people claiming to own a property, sell it to unsuspecting victims with a forged title or no title at all.  I guarantee you that this couple are two people you can absolutely trust.

  1. Dave..that some good looking ground there and good price too. I would think that would be a nice great deal for some one that still young enough to build a house there or young enough to be in the farming business or had enough money to buy per say the farm ground and also had enough money to develope it better or raise more than rice on it. Perfect for the man with a Fillipina wife and then instead of giving the extended family lots and lots of handouts…..put them to work on the farm…turn it into a “helping the family little farm”…Give them a hand up not a hand out…any way..nice post again..hope your friends sell there property…sure they will.

    • Thanks for checking out the post, Dan. It looks like some good property that Alex and Daisy have for sale, and is a good opportunity for someone to farm the land and make a living off it like you state.

    • This is some good thinking. Everyone writes to me asking about businesses to start in the Philippines. Hardly anyone ever thinks of the producing side of food. This is a country with a _lot_ of people and with food prices spiraling up like most of us wish their IRA’s would grow.

If you manage hands-on (rather than giving money and watching it disappear), you may not make a fortune, but it’s pretty hard to go broke producing food … even poor people have this burning desire to eat.

My wife owns some farm property and we are currently buying another piece of land with the object of doing just as Dan suggests … in the future we’re putting people, mainly in the family, to work on it.

We’l never get rich (that’s not our purpose, but people will work and people will eat … and that can’t be all bad.

      • Great idea, Dave. Something that really burns me is that my father-in-law, in his upper 70′s, is getting too old to work the land. He has three sons, but none of them wanted to stay “down on the farm” and work. My father-in-law has massive amounts of mangoes, cashews, coconuts, rice, and bananas on his farm. I know I’m too old and lazy to work it, it’s about a 35 minute ride from “The Compound,” but most of the land is leased now. The fact that you are putting family on the farm is smart thinking. Yeah, they might not get rich, but they won’t go hungry, either. Good for you!

are they selling to get away from family or maybe some snag with bilding on property?

    • I honestly don’t know the reasons, Maria. They have a free and clear title to the property, however. Alex’s wife, Daisy, is going to obtain her visa to able to enter the United States soon, so maybe they are considering a move to America, don’t honestly know, however.
